Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- To ensure that all corporate action announcements by VSD are captured accurately and timely in the systems then advise clients accordingly;

- To act on instructions received from clients and ensure to take the necessary actions required with a high degree of accuracy and timely; otherwise, effectively follow up with the clients who have not provided the instructions (especially the voluntary corporate actions instructions);

- Reconcile clients‘ positions against VSD report to determine entitlements;

- To ensure that for all corporate actions events and especially those related to voluntary events are processed in a timely, complete and accurate manner and released to clients within the agreed agreement and before market deadlines;

- Perform daily bookings into the system and prepares trade settlement instructions.

- Identify any failed trade, investigate and follow up with relevant parties to resolve any outstanding issues.

- Execute routine trade settlement and others upon obtaining client’s instructions.

- Prepare daily trading reconciliation between relevant parties before settlement execution, assets reconciliation at the end of the day.

- Client reporting support.

- To assist clients with their queries concerning the detail of a corporate action; trade settlement.

- To ensure daily corporate-events-related-cash and stock reconciliation is completed before market deadlines;

- To identify areas where efficiencies within the department can be improved upon and suggest relevant changes to operational procedures;

- To carry out such other duties as assigned by the line manager. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor‘s degree in Finance, Banking, Commerce or Business.

• Knowledge of Custody and Issuer Services products and processes.

• Knowledge of Citad payment, money transfer; Knowledge of (Global) Custody markets and products.

• Knowledge of Corporate Trust Service markets and procedures.

• Knowledge of securities services Operations & Corporate Actions.

• Experience in problem-solving client services.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Client focus, accountability, professional attitude, pro-active, problem-solving skills.

• Sense of Urgency, crisis-management and good analytical skills.

• Self-motivated and eagerness to learn.

• A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel. An understanding of Microsoft.

• Motivated, self-directed and driven (always staying up to date and improving).

• Fluency in English (both writing and speaking
